On 23rd April 2023 Port-Vendres will celebrate the 200th anniversary of becoming a town in its own right. 

This is another part of the history of Port-Vendres and so we are in the process of creating a commemorative panel. With the assistance of friends and the online regional archives, we have created the design on tissue paper. 

If you visit our permanent exhibition you can examine the panel at this stage as we thought visitors might find it interesting to see the process of creation.

The design has been traced onto the fabric and it is now in the capable hands of one of our experienced embroiderers, Francoise Moure. We hope to have it finished in the course of the year.

C'est un autre parti de l'histoire de Port-Vendres et nous sommes donc en train de créer un panneau commémoratif. Avec l'aide d'amis et des archives régionales en ligne, nous avons créé le dessin sur du papier de soie.

Si vous visitez notre exposition permanente, vous pouvez examiner le panneau à ce stade car nous avons pensé que les visiteurs pourraient trouver intéressant de voir le processus de création.

Le dessin a été tracé sur le tissu et il est maintenant entre les mains compétentes de l'une de nos brodeuses expérimentées, Françoise Moure. Nous espérons le terminer dans le courant de l'année.
